Issue 22 - TWO PENCE surcharged "Kingston Relief Fund 1d" (red)
This stamp was issued to fund the relief of the sufferers of the earthquake and fire
at Kingston, Jamaica on 14 January 1907. The stamp was surcharged locally by
essrs. T. E. King & Co. & went on sale on 25 January 1907 for two pence,
paying one penny for postal purposes with the remaining penny going to the Kingston Relief Fund.
The stamp as withdrawn 25 April 1907 with the unsold stock destroyed.
